It is important to keep the vaccination record card safe after vaccination. This card could become an essential document for travel, attending events, and more in a post-pandemic world.

According to CBS News, experts say the first thing to do after vaccination is taking a digital photo of both sides of the card. However, be sure not to share any proof on social media sites as this could lead to identity theft. Always leave the original document at home, unless there is a need to provide proof of vaccination, there is no need to travel with it.

Additionally, it is recommended that anyone who is vaccinated tells their primary care doctor. This helps ensure that the records of immunizations remain up to date.

Luckily, it is possible to get the card replaced if it is lost. However, it may prove to be a bit more difficult right now. To get a replacement, CBS explains that individuals will need to call their state health’s department and ask for a replacement.
