An article by Common Dreams reveals a new COVID-19 study. This study provides new insight into the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine in seniors. In fact, the study shows that the vaccine helped “prevent over a quarter of a million new COVID-19 infections, more than 100,000 hospitalizations, and nearly 40,000 deaths among U.S. seniors from January to May.”

After being hit particularly hard by the pandemic, this new study provides seniors with great news. The article also explains that, among those 65 and older, there is a 94% lower risk of COVID-19 related hospitalizations.
