COVID-19 created havoc throughout the world. Now, the virus’ wrath has seemingly subsided, but not before claiming the lives of 1 million Americans.

According to AARP, the virus proves deadliest for older adults. Adults 50 and older made up more than 90 percent of COVID-19 deaths. Meanwhile, those 65 and older account for 75 percent of COVID deaths.

The pandemic may seem to be behind us, but many experts caution that “the pandemic isn’t over, and older adults, especially, need to remain vigilant.”

Furthermore, AARP urges Americans to fight against growing numb to the virus and the sorrow it creates. Individuals nationwide must remain vigilant, continuing to gather information from reputable sources in order to make the most informed decisions possible.
