Millions of older adults are grappling with Long COVID-19. The impact of this condition on older adults is just now starting to be documented.
According to this article, researchers are estimating that 32 percent of older adults who had COVID-19 suffer from symptoms of Long COVID up to four months after getting infected.
These results are more than double the rate an earlier study found; focusing on individuals between the ages of 18 and 64, the earlier study found the rate to be around 14 percent.
Senior citizens bore the brunt of the pandemic from the beginning. And unfortunately, we’re not out of the woods yet.
