Did you know that healthcare is the greatest expense for many retirees? That’s right, contrary to popular belief healthcare costs are not included in the Social Security program. Furthermore, the expenses of healthcare are not considered in the payments.

This grave error is best seen when looking at the annual COLA. Every year Social Security beneficiaries have the chance to get an increase in their payments. However, this increase is not guaranteed, and it does not take healthcare costs into consideration when calculated.

That’s why we’re stepping in. Senior Security Alliance recognizes that senior citizens deserve more financial security. To help them achieve it, we created a groundbreaking bill that will require the annual COLA calculations to consider the skyrocketing costs of healthcare.
