Senior citizens are the most vulnerable population during the pandemic. However, the CDC has found evidence that can provide new hope for all. This evidence, reported by the Sentinel Source, declares the vaccines to be effectively preventing hospitalizations among older adults.
In fact, according to the report, adults over 65 with partial vaccination are already 64% less likely to be hospitalized with COVID-19 than those who remain unvaccinated. This percentage jumps to 94% once the adult is fully vaccinated.
The report also indicates that around 68% of the older adult population in the United States have been fully vaccinated. That is a total of more than 37 million people.
During these hard times, it is important we take the time to do our research, ask professionals our questions, and stay safe.
