After recent criticism towards Medicare, the program is now scrambling to give senior citizens the coverage they originally deserved. Originally, Medicare did not cover the costs of antigen testing—one of the best ways for individuals to protect themselves and others from the virus’ spread.

However, it seems there has been a change. The Washington Examiner states that “seniors and people with disabilities, will be entitled to eight free home COVID-19 tests per month.”

This change is a great step forward towards helping senior citizens. It allows them to get the protection and peace of mind they deserve as Omicron continues to spread.
