Recently, we learned that Social Security staffing has been negatively impacting many senior citizens. Now, we’re finding out that there are 10 states hit harder than others by the Social Security staff cuts and long waits for customer service. These states are:
- Alaska
- Iowa
- Indiana
- Kansas
- Louisiana
- Ohio
- Virginia
- Washington
- West Virginia
- Wisconsin
These gaps in services are occurring because of a lack of funding, CNBC reports. Luckily, a proposition was made to help increase funding to the Social Security Administration (SSA).
