The Social Security Administration released a press release Monday, October 4 declaring a redesigned Social Security Statement. The new design was created through “extensive research, review, and testing,” in order to create an optimal, easily understood statement.

This statement is available through the SSA’s online portal and includes earnings information as well as estimates of future benefits.

Although this easy-to-understand Social Security Statement is a small step toward helping seniors feel more secure about their future and finances, it is not enough.
