According to CNBC, Congress proposed a new piece of legislation that would require the Social Security Administration to mail annual statements to those over 25 years old who have paid into the system. This bill is known as the Know Your Social Security Act and was proposed on Thursday, June 24.

This new legislation is great for current workers, allowing them to get a better understanding of their Social Security benefits in later years. However, we are now even more inclined to ask the politicians in Washington—where is the additional support for current retirees?

This lack of attention towards the current retirees is concerning. This is one reason why Senior Security Alliance is working to pass The Senior Citizens Bill of Rights. This innovative bill will help ensure senior citizens nationwide receive more financial security.

Senior citizens deserve more. That is why we are asking you to help us ensure more financial security for all seniors.
