According to this article from Yahoo News, a plan has been made to slow down some first-class mail deliveries. The difficult decision was made in an effort to help the United States Postal Service (USPS) with financial difficulties.

The article continues, explaining that the USPS has not been able to meet “existing service performance targets for many years,” proving that changes are needed. However, this greatly affects senior citizens, some of whom rely on mail delivery services.

Additionally, the article reports that USPS first-class postage-stamp prices will be raised to account for the decline in mail volume.
