About a week ago, President Biden made a vow to “defend Social Security and Medicare” from attacks. However, along with this declaration was the refusal to scrap the debt limit. This refusal puts him in a position that conflicts with U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, as well as other members of his party.
