For those who are vaccinated, there may be questions about what is considered safe. Thankfully, CNN took the time to talk with Dr. Leana Wen. Dr. Wen is an emergency physician and visiting professor of health policy and management at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health.
According to the article, individuals should start changing the way they think about the vaccine and COVID-19 transmission.
Dr. Wen explains that the vaccine can be equated to “a very good raincoat” that will protect individuals well if the level of infection is not too high. But, like raincoats, the vaccine can only do so much when infection levels rise.
There is a lot of worries circulating about the delta variant. However, as long as we remain informed, follow advice from professionals, and stay cautious we can help keep each other safe.
