Citizens work hard for years, contributing their hard-earned money to Social Security through taxes. And, after years of hard work and contributions, senior citizens expect to collect their own Social Security benefits in their entirety.

However, the government has a history of threatening to cut these benefits and may be planning to do so in the not too distant future.
