The future of the Social Security Trust Funds is important for seniors. They earned their monthly benefit payments.

According to this article from 401kSpecialistMag.com, there has been an update from the Congressional Budget Office about the Long-Term Projections for Social Security. These projections previously stated that the Trust Fund will be exhausted in 2032. However, they are now projecting the Trust Funds to deplete in 2035.

Unfortunately, this means that in 2035, retirees would only be receiving 79% of their Social Security benefit payments. That is why we must take action.

Senior Security Alliance is working to pass a bill to help, The Senior Citizens Bill of Rights. This bill would guarantee that benefit payments cannot be cut, allowing seniors citizens to feel more financial security in the years to come. Help us ensure a better financial future for seniors nationwide.
