Did you know that President Biden is advocating for Social Security changes? It’s true. There are four reforms, in particular, he’s looking to implement:

1. Increasing payroll taxes for higher earning individuals.
2. Boosting special minimum benefits.
3. Raising benefits for longer-living Social Security recipients.
4. Switching the inflationary tether used in COLA calculations from the CPI-W to the CPI-E.

These changes could help improve the Social Security program overall. Unfortunately, it’s not certain any of these proposals will come to fruition.
