Residents of New York can look forward to some new companions. The New York State Office for the Aging is looking to send a robotic buddy to older adults in 800 homes.
These robotic companions are not able to help with physical tasks, but will serve as digital assistants. These assistants help engage users in small talk, contact their loved ones, and keep track of various health goals like medication and exercise.
