According to this article from Fosters.com, some senior citizens are having difficulties reintegrating into life outside of quarantine.
The article continues, recognizing that many seniors are aware the vaccine is not a 100% guarantee. There may be a sense of hope and relief shared throughout communities, but hospitalizations are still occurring.
Additionally, the article explains that there are many who are filled with fear, seen loved ones pass away, and now need to brush up on their socialization skills. These difficulties can cause some uncertainty.
The advice provided in the article: take things in small steps. For those who remain uncertain and fearful, smaller trips are the best way to get in the much-needed socialization and support. After taking small steps, individuals can try taking bigger steps and gradually come to routines that reflect life completely outside of quarantine.
