Some good news has surfaced for those filled with wanderlust—the Canadian border is open to vaccinated Americans, this article reports.

As of Monday August 9th, Americans are welcomed back across the Canadian border for the first time since the pandemic began. The only stipulation? All visitors must be vaccinated.

However, this does mean that visitors cannot simply cross the border; unfortunately, the process is now a bit more complicated. According to the article, travelers will need to submit proof of vaccination and other travel details to the Canadian government at least 72 hours before arriving.

Even though this is good news for travelers, proper safety precautions are still encouraged. Especially now that COVID-19 cases have started spiking in many areas again.
