Senior citizens deserve a peaceful and financially stable retirement. That’s why Senior Security Alliance created our bill, The Senior Citizens Bill of Rights. This bill is unlike any other, it is a historic document that brings forth and protects the rights of seniors into the law.

These rights include:

• Codifying Social Security as an earned benefit that will never be cut.
• Benefit payments will no longer be taxes as income.
• Healthcare costs must be used when COLA calculations are being made.
• Seniors working after retirement will not be penalized or taxed at higher rates.
• Benefits will not be reduced if a spouse passes away.
• The Federal Government, elected officials, and Federal employees will not refer to Social Security as a “welfare” program.
