Protecting sensitive information is getting more and more difficult as scammers relentlessly target beneficiaries and continue to get more creative. Thankfully, the Social Security Administration posted an article with a few tips to help senior citizens keep their information safe.
Of their advice, the most critical is to remain aware and cautious—do not share sensitive information unless it’s absolutely needed.
Additionally, seniors are cautioned against carrying their Social Security cards with them. Instead, keep the card in a safe location and only bring it out if/when needed.
