WXYZ Detriot explains that there is a new program seeking to help senior residents “bridge the digital divide.”

This program is the result of a partnership by Comcast and the Older Adults Technology Services from AARP. The program will provide seniors with various tools and training to help them understand and interact with various digital tools.

Additionally, the article explains that the program’s goal is to distribute 250 computers and digital learning materials through various nonprofits. However, Comcast will donate an additional 250 laptops for distribution.

Even as things continue to reopen and restrictions are lifted, there are many individuals who are more cautious when returning to a sense of normalcy. Hopefully, this program will help, allowing senior citizens in the Detroit area to stay connected.
