The pandemic has been difficult for many individuals. However, for the most vulnerable population, senior citizens, it was even more difficult. Their vulnerability made the necessary tasks like going to the grocery store to buy food for meals a more daunting experience.

Thankfully, in many places, people gathered together to help. According to this article, the community in Middletown, Ohio was one of these places. The Middletown senior citizens center was able to help, delivering meals to senior residents. However, during the height of the pandemic, the meal delivery service saw an increase of 553%.

The help provided to the community during such a hard time is invaluable. And, although we are continuing our vaccination efforts and starting to resume a more normal way of life, it is important we all remember to stay safe, and informed.
