New Way to Receive a Benefit Verification Letter

There is a new way to receive a Benefit Verification letter. It is used to verify proof of benefits an individual receives. These benefits include Medicare, Supplemental Security Income, and Social Security benefits.

The Benefit Verification letter is also known as a “proof of income letter,” “benefits letter,” “budget letter,” or a “proof of award letter.”

Thanks to the work put towards digitizing the agency, this letter can be accessed electronically. Simply go to the Social Security Administration’s online portal and access the Representative Payee portal. This will allow access to the same standardized letter.
